Prof. Karori Mbũgua is an Associate Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Nairobi. He holds a BA and an MA in Philosophy from the same university, an MSc in Philosophy and History of Science from the London School of Economics, and a PhD in Philosophy of Science from the University of Cape Town. His areas of academic interest include Philosophy and History of Science, Bioethics, Environmental Ethics, African Philosophy and Philosophy of Religion. He has published a number of articles in the field of bioethics. Prof. Mbũgua is a member of the National Bioethics Committee (NBC).
